Thankfully Chanel has stepped in with their blissful Holiday 2019 collection, Les Ornements de Chanel, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s historical love for ornaments.

 

While her approach to elegance was her signature “less is more” monochrome, there was also a deep fascination with understated opulence (clock the Chinese gold leaf in her Parisian apartment).
