Actor-writer-director Freddy Carter is the star of new Netflix show, Shadow and Bone, a TV adaption of the books by Leigh Bardugo of the same name. Recently, Freddy has shown his versatility as an artist, expanding his work from acting into writing and directing, too.

Freddy Carter sat down with Rollacoasterto discuss his action-packed new series, the inspiration behind his short films, and his thoughts on why the fantasy genre is having such a big moment. No89is already available to stream, Shadow and Bone is set for release at the end of April, and his second short film, Broken Gargoyles, is on the way. With ambitions as both a director, writer and actor – we will just have to wait and see where his name pops up when the credits roll.
