In case you missed, it, Houston in the Blind released their powerful new album, Hide The Glow.

The Athens-based band go coast to coast and strength to strength in a brand new album.

Since forming in 2014, Houston in the Blind quickly made their mark on the Atlanta music scene. Their 2015 debut album, Limbs, became an indie hit, earning spots on numerous Year-end Best of lists and leading to a national tour. This success seemed like the big break for band leader Charlie Garrett. Seeking new inspiration, Garrett and his wife moved to Los Angeles, but the relocation wasn't well-received by his bandmates, leading to the band's disbandment.

Garrett reflects on this challenging period in “light” of Hide The Glow. He explains, “I thought I could fly back and forth from coast to coast to play shows and record with my band, but that’s not what happened. We completely disintegrated as soon as I told everyone I was moving.”

Hide The Glowchronicles Garrett’s struggles and resilience. Despite setbacks, Garrett remained committed, working with Gus Seyfferet and eventually returning to Georgia to complete the album with Kris Sampson and original drummer Darren Dodd. Back in Athens, Garrett feels at home on his own terms. “This album is the sobering moment of finally feeling awake and somewhat better. It’s a relief. It’s a bit of hope,” he shares.
