“I think film is an escape for people, and that’s great, but I also don't want it to just be escapism. I want you to leave the theatre with a good message in your heart. I think there are so many films and shows coming out now that can leave you with less hope in the world. And I want to do the opposite. I want to remind people that there still is a good message to be told. And the stories with a good heart are not boring… They can hit close to home.”
