The indie pop siren unveils her latest effort in collaboration with legendary pop producer, Keith Thomas. 

We’ve all heard the saying, “To get over him, get under someone else.” But what do you do, questions indie pop siren Syd, if that person is still under your skin. 

Facing up to the often neglected narrative that our lovers of the past never truly leave us, the artist rips open her heart and lets it bleed with pain-tempered lyricism and balladic notes. Posing as the backing track to her new music video, Syd allows herself to give into her mindset — within which she fears she is going “Insane”. 

Speaking on the single, she explains, “I really took my personal journey and put that energy into ‘INSANE’ and I hope the listener can feel the emotions that I went through during this journey. The emotion of the song also alludes to the toxicity that can exist in a relationship. I wanted the song to capture what it is like to force yourself to move on when you are not necessarily ready.”
